CEU stands for "Continuing Education Units." These are ways to measure hours completed in a professional training setting. CEUs are a standard unit of measurement for continued adult/professional education and training.
According to IACET and the University of Houston, one CEU is equivalent to 10 contact hours of attendance and successful completion in a program conducted under "responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction". Due to these guidelines and the national recognition of CEUs, some higher educational institutions may accept CEUs in lieu of school credit.
Configuration Management is a set of interrelated processes, management techniques, and supporting tools that assure our work products are as they should be and conform to requirements; changes to work products are properly evaluated, authorized, and implemented; and all information that is necessary to manage our end items and other related work products are current, accurate, properly structured for users' needs, and readily available to all who need to know.
Configuration Management (CM) ensures that an organization is making informed business decisions, performing correct actions, and that all work products are what they are intended to be at every point in the lifecycle.
There are a couple CM Certification and Training providers, though not all offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in Configuration Management (CM). CMPIC LLC provides CEUs for most of their CM training classes. All CMPIC CEUs come from the accredited University of Houston's College of Technology.
